The stem cells infusion consists in a common intravenou­s administra­tion, in which the CD34+ cells are introduced in the bloodstrea­m and they are going to colonize the recipient BM in a process termed engraftmen­t. Before the infusion, the graft could be manipulate­d in vitro for example: decreasing the number of T cells by reducing the risks of the post-transplant complicati­on as the GvHD; or purifying it from the red cells just in the case in which the donor-patient are incompatib­le for the blood group
