The Dolphinarium / oceanographic museum The main objective of the project is to introduce visitors to the life of marine animals, who have ever lived on our planet, also to draw people's attention to the problems of ecology and pollution of water spaces.
The complex includes a dolphinarium, an oceanographic museum, an oceanarium, a research center.
Thanks to the Dolphinarium it will be possible to familiarize the children and adults of the city of Yekaterinburg and the region with these amazing mammals at any time of the year.
In terms of the complex resembles two elongated skeletons-galleries in each of which there is a thematic exposition.
The volumes are raised above the ground and are interconnected by a glass "bowl" in the center and two covered passages along the sides.
The center of the composition is a glass dolphinarium dome, which, like the galleries, has white stiffening ribs in the meridional direction.
To the dome adjoins a large round area, with a fountain.
The snow-white undulating ribs of the facades, against the background of the darkened glass, resemble the skeletons of ancient inhabitants of the ocean, this image corresponds well to the theme of the museum.
