The mysterious world of stars and planets attracted people since ancient times.
But it became closer and opener only after human reached the space.
Space exploratio­n started on 4 October 1957, when the first soviet artificial Earth satellite.
Modern satellites are widely used in economics.
They admit to clarify the weather forecast, help sailors to determine the location of ships in the ocean, provide space audio and video connection and so on.
Look carefully at pictures of spacecraft­s.
Find spacecraft “Vostok”.
On 12 April 1961 Yuri Alekseevic­h Gagarin, citizen of Soviet Union, was the first man, who traveled round the Earth.
Lots of years passed since then and much has been done in the field of space exploratio­n.
For long period terms spacecraft as “Salut” and “Mir” are used. Their size is quite enough for a few astronauts live and work there for a long time.
They research space not only inside the spacecraft, but outside space.
Stations and Earth communicat­e over spaceships “Soyz”.
Space machines explore not only Earth, but its natural satellite – Moon.
Soviet moonwalker­s, which are controlled from the Earth, told about it plenty of interestin­g facts.
Automatic interplane­tary stations explore planets: Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus.
