Some people think that modern technologies are going to take the main role in education. At the same time others believe that books will keep in the lead. They say that textbooks will exist forever. As for me, I am pretty sure that the future of our education is computers. There are no words to describe how many functions computers can do. To begin with, they can store an incredible amount of information in memory unlike their printed counterparts. Consequently, people can keep millions of books if they use a personal computer. Secondly, it is easier and faster to work with information when it is in digital form. What is more, various interactive programs make education much more exciting for students. However, there are people who say that computers will never replace books. The main argument in favor of their opinion is the comfort of reading when using books. They also consider that computers emit radiation that badly affects our health. Nevertheless, I totally disagree with these statements. Recent researches have proven the safety of using computers. Modern screens allow us to read even in low light conditions, so they are even less harmful than books. Moreover, the level of radiation is close to zero and does not pose a threat to human health. To sum up, I would like to stress that in spite of all valid reasons of people who think that books will continue to play a great role in education, it still seems to me that computers are going to replace printed books.
