My summer was intense and quick. Time passed quickly, probably as all of us. And it seems only yesterday we had exams, but today we come back to school again.
After exams, I spent two weeks in the beautiful St. Petersburg. To be honest, I fell in love with this city. It something reminds me of Paris - a romantic, gorgeous, my dream...
I know it sounds strange, but Peter is beautiful without people. White nights are as beautiful as breeding bridges. There are monumental architecture, magnificent views, but without people it looks even better.
Then we went to Karelia. It is country of a Thousand Lakes. The beauty of this nature are not put to words. It is impossible to describe. We had only one day in this beautiful place, so we decided to go the Marble Canyon with my mum. Earlier it was a place of marble extraction, but then it was flooded. There is the rope, between the opposite banks of the Canyon (about 500 meters), on which you can go down on the zip-line. This minute of the flight and wonderful views will remain in my memory forever.
Then our journey continued and we went to the White Sea, and then in the middle reaches of the Northern Dvina. Imagine very large forest, the size of a little less than Ukraine. There is my house on the river bank near this forest. I think, I was in the last century. There weren’t showers, running water, light, internet and all comforts to which we are accustomed. But there was a large russian stove, bath on black, and delicious rainwater. You can’t imagine this feeling of reunion with nature, which I felt there. People forgot that we are children of nature.
But the summer had come to an end and we returned home.
