The text to correct from user Ирина Кесватера

My name is Irene Bichiyants. I study in the Vladimir State University. Examinations are the most disturbing thing for every student. There are two types of them: written and oral. Surely, they have their positives and negatives.
A lot of students prefer written examination, because it is not as nervous as oral. There is silence around and a student can fully concentrate on his work. Besides, one has the possibility to correct or rewrite something at any moment. So students stand a better chance to do their best. From the point of view of a teacher written examination can cover exactly those areas of knowledge which he wants to check. Furthermore, it takes less time than oral examination.
However, if we talk about foreign languages, writing is not enough to reveal our knowledge. Language is primarily speech. If a student can say something, undoubtedly, he can write it, but not vice versa. Some students like oral examinations because it is a creative process in a way. The others feel nervous at such examination, get confused and fail to say what they want. A lot of students in America take acting courses and can easily talk before the audience. Unfortunately, it does not concern Russian student.
Generally speaking, all examinations in foreign languages should include oral and written parts to reveal our knowledge in the best way. I vote for examinations which we have now.
