Computers and modems have made it possible for office workers to do much of their work from home instead of working in offices every day. Working from home should be encouraged as it is good for workers and employers. (time limit: 40 minutes) (must be more than 250 words)
I think I may definitely agree with this statement. Wide distribution of progressive technologies is inevitable, and we must use them wisely. This also reffers to the statement given. I have some points to prove my position.
At first, working at home positively influences to job progress. Everybody knows that at home he works much better. This can be explained by psychologists: you feel yourself psychologically free, and your working place is comfortable and fits you completely.
Secondly, home workers are free of getting to job, transportation problems etc. It doesn't matter anymore if worker lives too far away from the office.
Thirdly, slight deseases don't globally affect the work process. Even a mere incident of getting cold may endanger entire office! So this worker stays home. But if he does his job via Internet, the problem dissapears - for both chief and worker.
Also it's very important to mention that every single man working at home increases his organisation's profits by reducing it's outcomes - there is no need to spend lots of resources to provide clerk with computer, working place, decent rationing and other.
But there are some disatvantages of such type of work. I think, the biggest problem here is that managers may become unable to supervise their employer's work. Also it's very important for office workers to simply know each other, to chat in real life, to socialize - job is not only consists of taking tasks from others and completing them. It's a very important page in worker's life - and forgetting about colleagues is not for good.
