中国三大河就是黄河，长江和珠江。黄河是中国文化的摇篮。它在中国北部,由西往东,流过酒歌声，全长五千四百多公里。中国人的祖先就在黄河流域生活，劳动，创造了中国的古代文化。黄河流域农业发达, 是中国的古代整治，经济,文化的中心。现在黄河两岸还有很多名胜古迹。黄河常常发生水灾，从黄土高原流过，带下来大量泥沙，河水变成了黄色。黄河的名字就是这样来的。因为合理的泥沙太多，所以常常发生水灾。但是，经过治理，现在黄河已经可以发电，可以灌溉了。
中国第一大河是长江。长江全长六千三百公里，是世界上第三长河。长江中，下游有很多支流，还有不少大大小小的胡，是有名的“鱼米之乡”。
在中国的南边还有一条大河，也是由西往东流，这就是珠江。珠江流域大部分是山地，下游比较平，雨水很充足，也是中国重要的农业区。 广州是珠江流域政治，经济和文化的中心。
