Learning English
Progress is a backward motion.
«Progress» is the most widespread notion of a modern era which has its roots in Europe where in XVII century some craftsmen invented the engine. From then on the wheel of progress has never stopped turning always coming up with something mindblowing to astonish the world. First of all, the progress itself wasn`t conceived as an indispensable part of everyday technological routine but it had to face vital needs of the time. So achievements of progress were to set the pace of technology of the time and life was to obey the rules. By comparison, millenium has brought forward demands to satisfy and progress has become a convenient tool to meet demand. We are no longer capable of appreciating new achievements because we take them for granted. Progress has become an integral part of our highly developed society. We`ve set off to explore the moon, we`ve learnt how to deal with cancer, we`ve even cloned Dolly, be we have done nothing to improve our lives considerably. Being brought up in the cradle of modern technology we can barely imagine our lives without quate a range of gadgets that alleviate our domestic routine. Progress has made available a great deal of technological appliances we`ve crammed our houses with. So our household chores have been successfuly reduced by intricately constructed but unfaddy gadgets that seem to solve all our problems. But it`s only a cursory glance at the problem. Computers, cars, cell-phones and washing machines are supposed to give us more time to relish our life, but, as often happens, we disregard this opportunity in order to cram every spare minute with other things to do. We spend hours stuck in traffic jams, when our computer is blocked it makes our tempers fray, when our cell-phone is discharged it gives us grey hair. Computers have notably improved the quality and a pace of working. We don`t have to deal with piles of illegible documents anymore or to print them by ourselves. White-collar workers are no longer prisoners of their office routine but they haven`t even become lords of their work desks yet. So who are they? They resemble brave knights on the battlefield struggling for their careers. They`re investing their precious present in their prosperous future to come. Apparently, there hasn`t been any progress. We were supposed to put our feet up and take everything slowly relishing the more relaxed pace of life, but instead we `ve become victims in the net of progress.

Learning to write and speak a foreign language correctly requires having somebody to correct your grammar and usage errors.
Otherwise you may learn a substandard version of the language with deep-rooter mistakes and incorrect usages that are hard to get rid of.
A popular and tried-and-true way to learn languages involves writing texts in a foreign language on a daily basis and reading them aloud to a native speaker, who will correct any mistakes.
Native speakers or language professionals will review your text and correct all errors of style or grammar free of charge.
You can also request a sound recording of the spoken version of your corrected text that will let you hear the subtleties of pronunciation by a native speaker.
