Und das ist Verzweiflung, das Wesen der Welt,
Die traurige Sonne ob fruchtlosem Feld.
Der Glück ist der Lug, der Verhoffen zerschellt,
Der Glaube mißleitet und fällt.
Der Tod und der Klatsch sind der Preis für dem Held.
Du kaufst keine Stunde des Jungseins mit Geld.
Die Kraftlosigkeit und der Blödianshohn
Sind Weisen- und Künstlerfestlohn.
So Lage um Lage entfernst du den Putz:
Die Liebe ist sinnloser, niedriger Schmutz.
Das Werk ist die Knechtschaft, ein Lauf in dem Rad.
Die Freundschaft ist Morgenverrat.
Die Reinheit verschmutzt und die Schönheit welkt ab...
So, Schale um Schale, gehst du durch hinab.
Wann jede Schicht abgeputzt wurde und ging,
Bleibt letztlich ein einziges Ding,
Und das ist Verzweiflung...
